Great Melton (A) 21st Aug

On Thursday 21st August the Priory went to Great Melton to play our penultimate friendly match of the season, the weather was fine, a bit cooler of late but comfortable.

Rink 1:-  Mark, Ken and Melvyn, were behind up until the 10th end, Great Melton 8 shots to Priory 5, but after that Great Melton never scored again, with the Priory winning 13 shots to Great Melton 8 shots.

Rink 2 :-  Sandy, John B and John M, up until the 7th end were winning 7 shots to Great Melton 4 shots, then Great Melton came back winning 7 of the remaining ends, so eventually Great Melton winning 15 shots to the Priory 10 shots.

Rink 3 :-  Jonathon, Mike B and Ivan F, were in complete control of the game, standing at 11 shots to the Priory to 4 shots to Great Melton at 9 ends, at end 15 the score stood at 13 shots to the Priory and 8 shots to Great Melton, but unfortunately Great Melton scored 5 on the last end to a draw with 13 shots apiece.

Rink 4 :-  Bet, Karen and Ivan H, at end 13 the score was standing at 13 shots to Great Melton and 12 shots to the Priory, a very close game up until that point , Great Melton then scored on the last 3 ends, which then Great Melton won 19 shots to Priory 12 shots.

With the final score being Great Melton 55 shots to Priory 48 shots.

Well done everyone to keeping it close.

To conclude, it was a very friendly atmosphere all the way through the evening, afterwards everyone proceeded to the club house, where excellent refreshments were served and enjoyed by all.
