Thorpe Rec. (H) 2nd June

We had a very close and enjoyable home match against Thorpe Rec.

The weather remained dry and sunny and the two teams were evenly matched, with Mike Betts, Mike Attwell and Di Gibbins winning  12-9 on rink 2, and Bet Davies, Patrick Hurst and John Austin losing 11-13 on rink 1, giving the Priory Garden side an overall match win for scoring the most shots.

The match was friendly and exciting throughout, as every player contributed, and it was anyone's game until the last shot had been played, a fortuitous 4 being scored by the Priory on the final end on rink 1.

The final match score was Priory Garden twenty three shots, Thorpe Rec. twenty two shots.
