Saxon (H) 4th June

For the second round of the AGE Concern Knock-out Cup the Priory Garden team made two changes to the side from the first round, with Di Gibbins and John Austin replacing Ivan Freedman and Mike Betts respectively.

On Rink One, Pat Goody, Karen Smith and Ivan Howman played their usual game in a tightly fought contest. After starting slowly and trailing by four shots after the eighth end they upped the game and reversed the deficit by the last end to run out winners by fifteen shots to the visitors eleven shots.

On Rink Two, Bet Davies, John Austin and Di Gibbins put in a good display but were well beaten; mainly by a strong performance by their opposing skip. Although losing by nine shots to twenty two shots only three of the ends were lost by more than one shot.

The overall match result was Priory Garden twenty four shots, Saxlingham Saxon thirty three shots.
