Saxon (H) 16th July

On Wednesday 16th July we entertained Saxon B.C. at home, unfortunately we could only get 9 players, so contacting Chris the Saxon Captain, decided between the two of us that the Saxon B C would supply one player to make it up to Ten, which would give us 2 Triples and 2 Pairs.

Rink 1,  Bet and Ray J (1st Pair) played a Saxon Pair, with Priory 25 shots to Saxon 11 shots.

Rink 2, Karen, Phil D and Ivan H (1st Triple) played a Saxon Triple , Saxon winning 15 shots - to Priory 6 shots.

Rink 3, Billie, Bob S and Melvyn (2nd Triple) played a Saxon Pair (unfortunately 1 player of the Saxon Triple failed to turn up)  with          the Priory winning 15 of the 16 ends, with Priory winning 39 shots to Saxon-1shot.

Rink 4, Chris Lacey (Saxon Captain) and Sandy (2nd Pair) played a Saxon Pair, although both teams won 8 ends each, Priory                came out winning 15 shots to Saxon12 shots.

So, the overall score was Priory 94 shots to Saxon 30 shots.

Again, a very enjoyable evening was had by all, so well-done Priory for winning.

In ending I must thank the Saxon Captain for playing for us for making up the numbers.

Melvyn.
